Hi,

I need your help to evaluate the benefits that would come with
upgrading the graphics stack and the nouveau driver in Tails.
Excluding download time, worst case the whole process should take you
about half an hour. In most cases it should take about 10 minutes.

So, to start with please download:

 - Tails 3.7.1

 - this experimental ISO:
https://nightly.tails.boum.org/build_Tails_ISO_bugfix-15116-newer-nouveau-xorg-driver/lastSuccessful/archive/build-artifacts/

Then install each ISO image to its own USB stick, remember which one
is which somehow, and test both of them on the hardware you have
access to. Take note of the results.

If these two tests yield different results, in particular regarding
graphics hardware support, then:

1. Retry both tests, this time adding nouveau.modeset=0 to the
   startup options
   (https://tails.boum.org/doc/first_steps/startup_options/index.en.html#boot_loader_menu)
   Take note of the results.

2. Retry both tests again, this time adding nouveau.noaccel=1 to the
   startup options
   (https://tails.boum.org/doc/first_steps/startup_options/index.en.html#boot_loader_menu)
   Take note of the results.

3. Report back your _six_ test results, either on the
tails-testers at boum.org public mailing list or to me personally.

Include this info in your report:

    - the full file name of the experimental ISO you've tested
    - the output of the following command, run in a Terminal on some
Linux system (be it Tails or not, does not matter):

        lspci -d::0300 -nn

Thanks a lot in advance!

Cheers,
